J-Lo And A-Rod Focus On Relationship

Jennifer Lopez, J-Lo, announced that she and her fiance’, Alex Rodriguez, A-Rod, have been prioritizing their relationship recently. For starters, as soon as the relationship was officially confirmed, fans took to calling the pair, “J-Rod”. She revealed and she and A-Rod have been attending couples counseling beginning at the start of the pandemic.

The pop star shared how her professional and family life have faced some challenging times. She admits that she misses being creative and constantly on the go. A-Rod, however, has been thoroughly enjoying being locked down at home and conducting business on Zoom. He absolutely has loved knowing that the kids are right there and that J.Lo is there at all times.

Jennifer Lopez, also called J.Lo, is an actress and singer who is considered to be a triple threat entertainer. Now in her fifties, and divorced three times, she is not about to enter a relationship lightly. Alex Rodriguez, better known as A-Rod, is a former professional baseball shortstop and third baseman. He played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball and is worth more than $400 million. Almost six years younger than J.Lo, A-Rod has also been married before. He was married for six years to Cynthia Scurtis. He and his first wife share children together as well.

Almost two decades before the two would meet, Alex predicted that the two would one day be together. In 1998, an interviewer asked young A-Rod who his dream date would be. Without any hesitation, he responded, “Jennifer Lopez. Hopefully you can find me a date with her.”

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez first met at a Yankee game in 2005. Both were married to their now former spouses at the time, so they did not officially start dating until they ran into each other again in 2017 at which time they immediately began seeing each other. A-Rod proposed, and the two were planning a destination wedding before the pandemic shut down travel plans.

The two took advantage of the shut downs to work on their relationship. They went through therapy. In the end, she admits that she thinks it has really helped them.

While A-Rod adjusted well to staying at home, both were admittedly disappointed in having to cancel their planned lavish wedding ceremony that was scheduled abroad. However, they fully understand that the cancellation was for the best.

Still, the two had been planning for months for an overseas wedding. But, now she has come to terms with the idea that maybe the timing was not set for that divine moment. Their postponed wedding vows have not stopped them from being there for each other throughout the entire challenging year.

During the 2020 pandemic, Lopez stayed as busy as she safely could. A-Rod was right there supporting her through it all. She performed at the 2020 Super Bowl, headlined the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square, and sang at President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Well into a difficult pandemic filled with shut downs and relationship struggles, the two have admitted to having second thoughts about going through with the wedding. Though, they admit that they still love each other, the two are not currently in a rush to tie the knot.
