The star couple vouch they have never felt so much in love with each other than they have in the past few months. If the social media updates of the duo are any indication, two are definitely over the moon becoming mum and dad!
Supermodel cum singer, Gigi Hadid and solo artist, Zayn Malik fueled hints of being a couple in November 2015. Gigi had just broken up with Joe Jonas when the stories began to make the circles. Previously a boy bander with One Direction, Zayn had also called off an engagement a couple of months before. However, the two have had a rather rocky relationship in the five years leading up to the pregnancy. Rumors have it that the pair has broken up and made up more than once in the time.
The pregnancy itself came as a big surprise to many. Gigi, in fact, kept a very active professional calendar and did not reveal her pregnancy to the media until August. Then, on September 23rd, Zayn announced his daughter’s birth with a black and white photo of his hand holding his baby’s. The accompanying tweet read: “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding.Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”
Later, Gigi posted a similar black and white photo of her and the newborn on her Instagram handle with the caption: “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love.”
Although the couple announced the arrival of their firstborn, and Gigi has frequently updated social media with aesthetically pleasing photographs about her journey as a mom, the pair have been very closely guarded about giving the media a sneak peek of their princess.
It is clear from the posts put up by the new parents since September that the two are loving this new phase of their lives. A source let Entertainment Tonight know that Gigi and Zayn share similar views on parenting values and traditions. This has strengthened their bond as a couple and as parents. They are “so in love” and have been enjoying every moment spent with their daughter.
Gigi seems to be a natural at parenting and she has stepped into her new role with ease. Zayn seems to be no different. Perhaps part of it is because the two share similar cultural values. Both come from close knit families and providing a loving home is an important consideration for both of them.
