R. I. P. Gilbert Gottfried

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried passed away recently on the 12th of April 2022. His sad demise came to be due to an illness called Recurrent Ventricular Tachycardia.

As a result of the hereditary muscle illness Myotonic Dystrophy type II, patients end up experiencing recurrent Ventricular Tachycardia, a cardiac disorder which causes an erratic heartbeat that can often be fateful, as was seen in the case of Mr. Gilbert.

This news was released through a statement issued by the comedian’s family on twitter on the same day as his passing.

‘Gilbert Gottfried passed away following struggles with a long illness. gilbert will always be remembered as a loving spouse, a good sibling, an even better friend, as well as a wonderful parent to his kids as well as being recognised as a legend in comedy.  Despite the fact that this is a terrible day for everyone, we urge you to continue to laugh as loudly as you can in his name to honour his memory.’

“Gilbert’s type of comedy was bold, startling, and sometimes insulting, yet the guy beyond the jokes was far from that,” remarked Frank Santopadre, presenter of “Gilbert Gottfried’s Amazing Colossal Podcast!” ‘Anyone who met him and was lucky enough to be a part of his circle saw him as a lovely, empathetic, unexpectedly timid person who was full of a childish curiosity and humour. He will be mourned by his everyone including enthusiasts, and comedy aficionados all over the world. In gilberts own words ‘Too soon!’. it was indeed too soon.

This comedian hailing from New York was most famous thanks to his outspoken political humour, and also delivering the voice of iconic animated characters such as Iago from Aladdin and in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, Kraang Subprime.

He additionally starred in the 2015 docudrama The Aristocrats, which is regarding a long-running controversial story which has circulated in the comic world ever since times of vaudeville.

Following the confirmation of his passing other notable individuals including Jason alexander, paid tribute to the comedian/ actor. The actor stated, “He got me laughing even though it wasn’t easy for me to do so. Truly a blessing. I didn’t know him closely, yet I appreciated what he had to say to me. My condolences and warm regards go out to all affected by this sad news.”

In January, the comedian honoured his two friends, bob saget and Louie Anderson who passed away by sharing a photo on Instagram. Both of them died within two weeks of each other.

The problem child actor posted a joke regarding his pal Chris Rock getting smacked by Will Smith there at 2022 Oscars, along with a photo of the two of them, in his last Instagram post ever. “Which act is considered most heinous?” On March 28, Gottfried wrote. “Is Chris Rock being abused or is he simply trying to make a joke?

Gilbert Gottfried left behind his wife, Dara Kravitz as well as his two young children, lily, and max.
